BEAMA's 'Low Carbon Living - A Smart Revolution For All' Winter Conference (two-day)

BEAMA’S ‘LOW CARBON LIVING – A SMART REVOLUTION FOR ALL’     WINTER CONFERENCE (TWO-DAY)

15 - 16 March 2011

Whittlebury Hall, Northants

Key themes:

  • Electric vehicle revolution
  • Transforming the built environment/building services
  • Smart technologies – buzz words or reality?

“As low carbon living points us towards a dramatic change in the way we consume and purchase energy and services the impact on equipment manufacturers, distributors, contractors and specifiers will be immense – as will be the shock for those unaware of the changes just around the corner,” says BEAMA’s marketing director Kelly Butler.

“Through this two-day conference once again BEAMA is tackling the big strategic energy management issues that really count – and it features the launch of the BEAMA Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project.

“With the expectation for 1.5 million plug-in vehicles by 2020,                                            Day One (PM, 15 March) will focus on the increasingly important topic of                                electric vehicles, finishing with practical feedback from a major field trial and demonstrations of electric vehicles.

“The Government has put significant weight behind the call for market transformation to electric vehicles as the energy strategy towards 2050 highlights the need to electrify both heat and personal transportation.

“Day Two (16 March) shifts the emphasis away from vehicles and towards the relationship between product and building policies.

“The conference has a business perspective.                                                                   For those responsible for product or market strategy for manufacturers, their customers, energy suppliers or specifiers, this conference is a ‘must attend’ as it addresses the changes ahead and how an organisation can ensure it’s ready to grasp the business opportunities.”
