BBC Dragons' Den Winner Magic Whiteboard Hosts Multi-Media Seminars Via Skype

From September 2011 Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Neil Westwood, founder of the Magic Whiteboard - the World’s first portable whiteboard on a roll - will host multi-media Skype seminars for Primary and Secondary schools around the UK.

Neil decided to embark on nationwide ‘virtual tour’ of schools in a bid to inspire the future workforce and budding entrepreneurs.  The Dragons’ Den success will be hosting a number of sessions via Skype to Primary and Secondary schools around the UK to highlight the journey he has gone through to achieve his thriving business from the grass-roots up.

The Skype sessions will cover:
-          Dragons' Den experience
-          How to set up a business from nothing
-          10 critical success factors to run a business
-          Skills required for business

Using Skype to conduct the seminars highlights how schools across the country are embracing technology in the classroom to learn about business and entrepreneurship.

Neil comments, ‘I feel really passionate that we should encourage entrepreneurship in this country and nurture our talent.   The Magic Whiteboard has seen huge success thanks to the fact that I have had some wonderful business mentors.  My product is widely used across schools and colleges in the UK and I realised that this provides me with a great opportunity to meet students and share my experience.  Now when students use my Magic Whiteboard they’ll understand the process behind creating a successful product from start to finish and getting it out to market.’

Neil and Laura Westwood successfully appeared on BBC’s Dragon’s Den gaining financial support from both Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis.  They are Theo Paphitis’ most successful and profitable investment.
