The 2011 Best Young Construction Professionals were announced last night (Wednesday 11 th May) at the annual Construction Development Alliance (CDA) conference.

Winners Andrew Ashworth, Wayne Cronshaw, Kyle Fallows, Mark Hughes and Donna Parfitt received the industry recognition awards at St Mary’s Chambers in Rawtenstall. The ceremony attracted more than 130 construction industry professionals, who came together to celebrate the achievements of the brightest young talents across a range of categories.

Sir David Trippier, former MP for Rossendale and former Minister for Construction, hosted the awards presentation and praised the winners and nominees for their accomplishments and contributions to the industry. He said, “All of you are winners and should be really proud of your achievements at such early stages in your careers. The future is certainly bright for you and for the construction industry with people like you on the horizon.”

CDA member Kath Wilson of Parker Wilson Consulting echoed Sir Trippier’s enthusiasm. When explaining the decisions behind choosing the eventual winners she said raw talent and an early commitment to the industry was paramount, “All the finalists were worthy winners but the five overall winners really stood out for us.
