NFB Getwork Network Pilot To Help Members Win Work
The National Federation of Builders (NFB) is pleased to announce the launch of ‘GetWork Network’ in conjunction with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
GetWork Network aims to bring together fundamental elements of the supply chain in a networking event which will be attended by members of the NFB as well as those with associated skills, such as quantity surveyors and architects, clients, local authorities and others. Those attending will have an informal method of gaining more contacts and identifying potential supply chain partners, sharing experiences, identifying new work, gaining greater exposure to clients, local authorities and, potentially, more work.

Sponsored by NFB Insurance Solutions, Getwork Network will launch in Sussex on Tuesday 11 October 2011 3.30pm – 7.30pm at the new Brighton and Hove Football Club. Guest speakers at the Getwork Network Sussex event will include Martin Perry, Chief Executive of Brighton and Hove Football Club and Andy Simons, one of the lead architects on the build from KSS Group. Those in attendance will also enjoy a tour of the new stadium.
Commenting on the GetWork Network initiative, NFB Chief Executive Julia Evans said: “One of the most frequently asked questions from NFB members is ‘Can you guarantee me work?’ Whilst we have tools and products in place to assist members in winning work, the next best thing to guaranteeing work is to give members the opportunity to network with potential supply chain partners and clients – GetWork Network does just that.”
Bringing together the collaborative relationship between the NFB, RICS and RIBA, RICS Membership Services Manager, Harriet Langton commented: “RICS South East is delighted to be working with the NFB and RIBA to deliver a ‘must be seen at’ networking event that promises real business benefits for our members enabling new business development and the opportunity to establish worthwhile new contacts.”
Adam Turner, Marketing and Events Coordinator at RIBA said: “The RIBA South/South East is looking forward to the forthcoming networking event in partnership with the NFB and RICS South East. The inaugural event promises to bring together members from each of the partner organisations 'under one roof', providing attendees with an excellent opportunity to establish new contacts from across the multiple industry sectors present at the event.”
The event is free of charge to NFB, RICS and RIBA members, £95 + VAT for all other delegates. Places are offered on a first come, first served basis. For further information, please visit www.builders.org.uk or to book call 08450 578175.
